La fecha que me dieron los doctores para la llegada de Gabi fue el 20 de Junio (un total de 40 semanas). Pero yo sentia que iba a llegar antes. De hecho nos dio una falsa alarma 5 semanas antes. Un dia de la semana 35, cuando estaba en la escuela, comence a tener contracciones cada 20 minutos. Estubieron ahi por varias horas, pero despues se volvieron esporadicas. Las contracciones continuaron toda la tarde hasta que me fui a dormir. Al dia siguiente ya no tube mas.
Gabi's due date was June 20th, but I had a feeling she'd be here before that. As a matter of fact, she gave us a false alarm 5 weeks early. At 35 weeks, I was at school and began having contractions 20 minutes apart. They continued for a few hours, and then became sporadic. The contractions continued all evening until I went to bed. They were gone the next morning.
En las ultimas dos o tres semanas, comence a tener varias senales anticipatorias de labor de parto; muchas contracciones de practica, dolor de espalda, presion en el pelvis, y otras mas desagradables. En la semana 38 tube muchas contracciones varias veces. El martes fuimos a mi cita con la partera justo a la semana 39. Ella me checo y vio que estaba dilatada 1cm!!!! Yupi! Esa noche fuimos a nuestra clase de nacmiento. Sherry, la maestra estaba segura de que Gabi llegaria ponto, especialmente porque habia luna llena. Bueno, el miercoles llego y se fue, y Gabi, ni sus luces.
In the last two or three weeks, I had more signs of early labor - Lots of Braxton Hicks, back pain on and off, pelvic pressure, and other more disgusting ones. On week 38 I had a lot of real contractios on and off. On Tuesday, we went for our 39th week appointment. The midwife checked me and I was dilated 1 cm!!! Woo hoo! That night we went to our child birth class. Sherry, the instructor was sure Gabi would be arriving soon, specially, since there was a full moon that night. Well, Wednesday came and went, and no Gabi.
